What's on the menu today?

Postby Drew » Sat Aug 18, 2007 9:11 pm

Hi guys. I really dont know if there was old thread similar to this but i figured to have a one.

Lets us post here what did our BTs had for its meal today, maybe in that way we can share "secrets" in our menu
:) 8) :D
thanks guys

my share:
Boris had hard boiled eggs ( first time i tried this, he went for it right away, he loves the white part ), boiled chicken ( i read that babies need more meat than greens, so im offering more meat from now on ), dog food, mustard leaves, pineapple, pear, tomatoes

i topped everything with the eggs and the chicken, he had to dig for the other stuff. :ohyes:

whats on your menu today? :D

LittleFoot had...

2 earthworms (live)
bok choy
dandelion greens
cactus pad
carrot
a little bit of pear
a grape
yellow squash
a little pureed turkey to entice him to eat his bok choy

He ate everything up, he is about to shed but I have noticed he is ravenous in the days before his shed, but he burrows more during this time.

I have a neighbor who raises earthworms and uses their leavings for compost. They get an organic diet. He gives me a handful whenever I need them.

seems that i cannot resist not feeding Boris today.. heheh
anyway, he had bokchoy, mustard leaves, grapes and oranges.
meat consists of chicken and ground beef. he went for the chicken only today. i think its a good thing since they need all the meat they can get when they are babies.

i was also thinking to feed him every other day to have some really "packed" appetite, he doesnt always finish his food maybe becasue he is always full, but im worried because he is still under 1 year old.

what do you think guys? :D 8) :ohyes:

Don't stress. Saphira went to eating every other day at about 3 months. She just wouldn't really eat if I fed her every day and by six months she was eating on the same scheduale as my adults. As long as he's active and alert let him set the pace.

Chuffer had cactus pad and red rickly pear, red banana, green bean, Wellness chicken catfood, and bok choy.
Tomorrow he'll get figs, waxworms, and organic dandelion greens and organic champagne grapes.
