Runny urate

I know poo can be runny from time to time, but how about runny urate? Today Ping's poo was runny, but not as runny as it was on Friday at the vet's. But the urate was just as soft -- easily broken apart when I poked it with the corner of a paper towel. Imagine putting cottage cheese into a food processor. I can post some graphic pictures if anyone wants to see. With his questionable health situation, I'm wondering if I should call the vet with this news or if it's kind of common.

I'm sure urate goes hard as it dries, ans is quite soft when first expelled

I have poked at the fresh urates before because I'm weird, and it wasn't like that...it wasn't actually a solid unit... I can compare the consistency to GRITS: http://www.ansonmills.com/page19/page41 ... ge41_1.jpg
Guess I'll be calling the vet. :(
