Man, what a difference! Tybo and Bella are like night and day. Bella has been very outgoing and friendly, coming out to peek around and check out her surroundings. She huffed and hissed at me once or twice, but other than that she's been great. Tybo, on the other hand, hisses when you walk past the cage. He loves to stay buried and doesn't come out much (although my dad said he saw him basking earlier).
Bella ate a tiny bit when I offered some various veggies mixed with cat food, but not more than a chomp or two. Tybo hasn't eaten anything. I even offered them some strawberries and cantaloupe and they didn't take it.
Its so fun having them though.. what a blessing.

The great thing about having more then one bluey is being able to compare their personalities. You start to realize some of the things you stress about is really just a quirk in their character.

Its strange though because the day i sold one of mine the other one who was always friendly started to change. He now hisses at me when i try to pick him up and this happened the day the other one left.
He is fine after i get him out but until then he's not as friendly...is there a connection?
russman, did you try hold their noses in the food?
Thats how i got mine to eat, even now Bronson will eat a lot while im holdinh him near the bowl and as soon as i let him go he stops eating and walks away....little bugger!

Yeah I tried it a little, but this being their first day in a new home and new surroundings, I figured I wouldn't stress it too much. Maybe tomorrow I will try it a bit more.
Its funny though, because right now if I walk by the cage, they watch me the whole time and flinch a bit.. I'm sure with some regular handling, they won't be so skittish.

boris started like that, huff and puff and skittish.. i guess offering alot of hiding place, letting them be by themselves for awhile will help.
its like you are one big giant to them hehehe...
im sure they will setlle down in no time.
btw, are they proven male and female?

No, all of my gender references are just wishful thinking.
Oh, and Tybo just ate some cantaloupe from my hand.

Tybo has really calmed down tonight. After eating out of my hand, he has gotten quite friendly, and didn't even huff when I approached. He let me pick him up and he crawled all over me.. nice little feller.

Isn't it fun when they take food from your hand? I love that! I'm so happy for you that they're settling in and being friendly toward you now! Friendly cuddly skinks RULE!

Sounds like they are settling in nice.
One thing I'd like to share that I've learned is that Sammy has her own little moods. Kinda reminds me of a cat. One day she'll come right to my hand and climb out and the next 2 or 3 days after that she'll run when I try to get her!

Then another day will pass and she'll be affectionate and have no fear again. Some days she's very calm and she'll snuggle up to my warm body and others she'll be squirmy and want to get down and explore. It just depends on her mood.
I try not to take it personal. I know some days I don't feel like dealing with people.
Good luck getting to know you're new babies!
