My pet store finally got my special order of silkworms in, and holy cow!
These things are big! A couple of them are really fat and a good 2-2 1/2inches long! And the worst thing? As of right now, Chuffie's not interested. I'm going to try again tomorrow morning, as it is getting late to feed him.
So here are a few questions, Bluey related:
1.) Does anyone have experience with their Blueys not liking/wanting to eat silkworms, or butterworms, or even waxworms? (Chuff likes wax worms, but I know they're not as good as the silkworms)
2.) if your Bluey was picky at first, did you manage to get them to eat eventually or was it a lost cause? (I know they're like people, with different likes and dislikes!)
3.) How did you stimulate your Bluey into eating worms?
My last question, not necessarily Bluey-related:
4.) Has anybody with Geckos ever fed silkworms and how were they received? (aggiegirl? I know you asked for pics of my white-lined/skunk gecko, I just have to get good pics without being yelled at or bitten!)
Also, I have so many wormies, (50 count, I didn't know the pet store was ordering that many, I thought more like 25!) and some are so HUGE, so I am wondering, is there anyone in my area of Western WA in the general vicinity of Seattle that wants to share these with me?
(I work in Bothell, live in Everett!)
Or, are any of you folks in Oregon coming up North any time soon? If so, I could meet you somewhere if you want some of these!
I almost hate to feed them to my guys, these silkworms are actually kind of cute! they're kind of squidgy and soft. (
I'll try and post some pics tomorrow, my home computer won't recognize our cameras for some reason!)
