Blueys Back Legs

Postby lmb02 » Fri Aug 24, 2007 10:59 pm

I was wondering how often do BTS use their back legs. Mine usually slides around on his belly and every now and then uses his back legs for an extra push. I wasn't sure if this was normal or if there was something wrong with his back legs. He has "recovered" from MBD but I didn't know if that was the reason because his bones are hard and he can move them. Thanks for ya'lls help.

I have noticed that too, and I have read on the care sheet that it is ok. LittleFoot will walk normally with his front legs and windmill his hind legs around slowly. Basically for every 3 steps with his front legs he uses his hind end once.

Chuff Chuff does it as well, he loves to slide along in the grass. Sometimes he won't use any of his legs if he's on a slight hill. For me, its just an indicator of how they're on the evolutionary path to becoming somewhat snake-like. It amuses me to no end! :D

On a scale of 1-10 of things to worry about, this ranks -2. :hehe:
