Hi, I will soon be moving from Ottawa Canada, to London England and was wondering if anyone had any experience shipping their skink overseas.
I have read a few things online which suggested that British Airways would allow me to take my BTS as hand luggage, provided I pay the exorbent $2500+ USD charges.
Any help is appreciated greatly.
Cheers.

I thought Britain had pretty tough quarentine laws for animals. Not sure on reptiles but I think for dogs and horses its 6 months if you don't meet certain guidelines.
This link is from the British government on importing animals.

Oh, we're shipping 2 skinks from USA to Canada, and we found a great group to help.
www.ipata.com search for the closest location to you and contact them for help. They're great. If all else fails and you need a home for him or a place to keep him for a while, feel free to contact me.

Please let me know what ends up happening with this, as my Fiancee is British and a move to England is a future possibility for us as well! ( And I really don't want to leave my critters behind!)
I thought the quarantine was 4 months for Britain?
Guess I'd better research those links!

it depends on what creatures you want to bring back. not everything needs to be quarantined. i wanted my aunt and uncle to bring me back a tiger salamander from the states (they wont) and that could come straight into the country and home. its best to check the list and go from there.
