BLUE TONGUE SKINKS

Haven't been here for a long time (you've had some peace)!. Pinkle is doing really well and still growing. He still has a blue tongue and we are STILL getting the viv ready for him to move into. Got the Viv, the lighting, heating, climbing thing-a-ma-jigs, caves etc. It will be a virtual Disneyland (emphasis on WILL).

I even got this vibrating feed dish off ebay (didn't cost much - so I thought I'd give it a go!) No idea what or how that will go but it weighs a ton and makes cricket noises. Does anyone know or seen these things?

He is very friendly and loves a cuddle and to be handled however, we have one of those magnetic cave thingis so you can pull the front off and have a peek in. Over the past few months he is really cool when me or OH take the front cover off to check him out and he just peers out back BUT when I show him to people he doesn't know, he stresses out and squirms and runs away. Who said they can't recognise ppl????

I'll post a pic of the little one for you soon. Don't expect anything huge, but remember, when I first posted, he was smaller than a fence skink!

I've seen those vibrating food dishes, but personally have never used one. Let us know if he likes it. The cricket chirping sound it maked would probably annoy me though....

I took some pics last night but they are pretty bad. He's only a little pink tongue remember, but he has grown. I have included a pic that's completely out of focus but it has my hand in it to give you an idea of his size.

He'd just had a bath so he was pretty sprightly

Hanging to get the enclosure into shape so me and Pinkle can see it in real life first. Then a photo will be forthcoming.

Isn't he longgggggggggg? He loves a romp and frolic and a good climb. He has a beautiful nature but is very picky with his food. I give him some-thing he loved last week and then I serve it up again and he looks at me as if to say - what is this crap????

He's grown enormously - think more than double. He is doing so well and I'm so proud of him (and me). To turn from such a winny little scared thing into a magnificent skink is such a proud thing for me. And he is such a love as well, which makes it a double proud thing. To all of you that remember that little "toe" sized thing to this fabulous skink - it's a great achievement! hyes

LOL - no phone reminiscing - I think he was very happy to get off it and never return. His favourite appliance is the laptop. He's a computer nerd in the making!

He looks like he is about to shed. He is growing more and looks too yummy for words. "Dad" calls him Pinkleton Champion and I'll post some picks soon.

His tongue is still blue as blue- but they reckon it starts going pink at twelve months, so that will be after his birthday - 22 December. Wooohoooooo!
