Everytime I hold Rodney he goes to the bathroom on me atleast twice. I feed him at the same time everyday and he doesn't seem to be on a schedule. How do I get him to stop going on me?

Is it possible to take him outside in the morning so he can go? LittleFoot will always go within 5 minutes of being brought outside, and then he is good for the rest of the day to roam around the house.

With Tattoo I feed her the same time each day and then we have potty watch until she goes. I put her on an incontinence pad on the floor and wait. I always praise her then hold her after she has gone. Also I think it is important to not put them down just because they go on you. They will probably figure out this is the best way to be put down and continue the behavior. I think is part trial and error and part patience. Good luck.

Not during the week because I have school, but during the weekend I have time. He goes more than once though, so even if I bring him outside, he will more than likely go again later.

After maybe 5-10 minutes he goes.

I used to put him down but I stopped doing it for that reason. I usually sit with a towel on my lap, and if he goes I change the towel but it leaks through and gets my clothes all nasty. I have a stack of dirty towels, just from him.

I feed him fruit with his meal everyday. I've been giving him about a table spoon of papaya each day in his meal this week.

you know to much fruit gives the runs, maybe you should restrict the fruit to 3 times a week and see if that helps.

He doesn't have the runs or anything like that. He just tends to go like 3 times a day. And when I got him, all they were feeding him was crickets and lettuce. Could his new diet have something to do with it?

Is he just peeing on you? They can do that because they are nervous. It'll just take time and patience for it to stop.

i 2nd what jenn said, hes just nervous, blueys can do that when they feel nervous, stumpys and centralians seem to do it as a rule, but most do it when feeling nervous so my suggestion is give it time, when hes feeling more comfy he should stop doing it,my neices have called all my stumpys wee wees as everytime they hold them they get wee,d on,they seem to think its funny,no need to panic,it is quite common, what sort of bluey is it by the way?

Can you tell when he's going to go? Chuff kind of lifts his rear legs and trembles a little, then usually I have time to swoop him up to the floor, or shove a paper towel under his bum. After that, he's fine. He mostly pees and drops urates, but lately its been sperm plugs a lot as well! I wonder if this is a "time of year" mating season thing!
Anyway, you should be able to tell by his body language that he's getting ready to go, because he should sort of pause, the back legs come up a little, and then he'll give the gift that keeps on giving. Sometimes I'm even treated with a lizard fart for extra amusement!

He kinda lifts his back legs, but he does it right when he is going so I don't catch it in time. Rodney is the fart MASTER!

Ugh...it's a good thing skink "pee" is odorless and mostly water, because a bunch of it just went between the fixed cushions of my couch. I saw the leg lift, I ran for the paper towels, but I was too late.
I guess we'll see what effect repeated applications of Nolvasan has on leather. From his tank, he WATCHED me clean it up too!! The tongue was going and he was WATCHING!
