a question about shedding

Postby gloom_kitty » Mon Sep 03, 2007 3:03 pm

on average how often will a baby bts shed?

loki has just had his second shed (i only found bits last time) that i know about and had just had one when i got him. all the skin was stuck on his little feet and tail. grrr so spent the first couple of days i had him working that off. anyway the shed went great and i got almost all of it off his head/feet/tail before he decided he had had enough. i was just wondering if one shed a month is about average.

im so glad he is tame now. made it a lot easier. he didnt even bite me when i gave him the nasty medicine. :)

Tattoo is almost three month old and she sheds every 2 to three weeks. She also had skin stuck to her toes and tail after each shed so I put her in some tepid water (about a quarter of an inch deep) for a couple of minutes before I work on rubbing carefully on the odd bits. It makes stuff come off much more easily as toes are very delicate. :goodluck:
