BLUE TONGUE SKINKS

For any and all of you who gave advice or shared in my anxiety, my little Norther/IJ hybrid named Tuck who hadn't eaten for over a week finally gave in and ate a good meal! I don't know what his problem was, I did what I do every time. I had been planning on, and probably still will, trying a few things that Jerry has been coaching me on, but I'll take any little success I can.

I can understand why you were so worried, but you know, we just have to get our heads around the fact that blueys do not necessarily eat every single day. Or go for long periods without eating.

I do understand your anxiety, I am a worrier too! And when you have more than one, and see one eating like a champ and the other one not, you start to think something's wrong.

I reckon he's just playing you for a sucker from an early age! Already got you wrapped around his little toe, he has

I'm still convinced that live feeders and meaty meals are one main reason for food refusal,I think they must fill them up for longer or maybe take longer to digest, or its like he thinks"I know you dont just buy 10 worms,so where's the rest man" mine should of been called mule, very stubborn. Give him snails or worms and you can forget about the veg/greens for a good few days.

I think maybe Tuck just doesn't like greens. He seems to take fruits like grape and kiwi from my hand, but he won't eat catfood. Tonight I fed him some boiled chicken and he scarfed it like he had never eaten before! I'm hoping this can become a staple for him.. I would like to find some other things he will eat consistently.

Chicken is the only way I'll get my boy to eat his greens, I have to mash it up,but if the chicken content isn't high enough he'll refuse it, I'll watch him eat and he's constantly trying to seperate meat from veg with his tongue
