BLUE TONGUE SKINKS

After I get my baby bluey.. I am really excited to feed him Snails.

I know about keeping them in a sort of quarantine before feeding them to my bluey of course!

(which I don't have yet.. but you all know the story) anyway...

Can babies eat Snails? There's hundreds of snails every morning when I jog to the gym like at 5am and I always see many different sizes... Does anyone know if its better to feed a baby bluey these snails... or wait till he gets way older? Please tell me.... so that I dont' start collecting a bunch of snails tomorrow morning! hehehe.....

You can start feeding them snails from day 1. They do in the wild.
I wish I lived where you live! Well, not the jog to the gym bit at 5am (sadist!), but the 100s of snails bit!

Just start him on smaller ones when he's young, or crack the shell a little first. Don't od him on them but, because you might end up with a bluey that will only eat snails.

The smaller the snail the more shell they can eat, I gave mine all sorts of size and colours, none were not tried and even the ones I thought were too big got smashed,You'd be amazed at what they can get their gobs round, bet you can't wait can you......

Oh yeah... I got that food chart that shows what they should eat daily, rarely and never! so I'm covered... I just didn't see a baby eating snails right away... but I am happy to know they do!
