I thought you would all like to see some recent pictures of Kiah, one of my rescued easterns. He has fattened up and is looking great. As you can see from the pictures, he has turned in to a wild and aggressive predator!

are these wild caught snails?

cause I haven't gotten my bluey yet... but I went and caught a bunch of garden snails this morning... and i put them aside. I am going to put them in a quarantine... but i don't know when they will safe to feed to my little baby bluey that I will be getting on Sat.

Does anyone know if wild caught snails are totally a no no... I mean... I can probably wait to see if the snails get sick within a few days and die. Then I guess... I'll know if they weren't good??? HELP!!

Kiah looks so much better. Great job! :ohyes: I'm sure that guy would have never made it without all the love and TLC. I know you are so proud of him! Looks like he is enjoying the good life now! He just feels no need to be a voracious hunter now that things are so cush! Did he ever eat the snail, by the way? Love the snail on head shot!!!!!

No..... he didn't eat the snail! He just let it wander all over him and then walk off to live another day! I still have the snail!

Megaabel, I give my skinks wild caught snails. I keep them for a few days in a pot with some leaves, if they are still ok, I am happy to give them to the skinks. I also know that my neighbours do not lay down pellets, or use any kind of pesticide, but I like to be extra cautious.

Trevor, of course I remember you and TREVOR! How is your bluey? Any more great tongue shots?

Leigh, yes! Winkle is doing great! Having spent all winter getting up every day and taking cold baths in the water dish! Popsicle has been asleep and grumpy for months and I have only seen him out basking in this last week, but he looks good! They all slept outside over winter, except the two babies and Kiah, who took the cool season to rehab' and fatten up. All of mine are now starting to stir after the winter, I should have them all out and about for photo shoots very soon!

Zach..... !
