BLUE TONGUE SKINKS

Slow work day, so I'm watching SkinkTV. It's almost as if he KNOWS... :paranoid:

"Good morning."

"HELLO, I SAID GOOD MORNING."

"Does this bald spot on my tail make me look over the hill? Be honest."

"How about from this angle?"

"Whatever. I'm leaving..."

"So get a good look.

"

"Hey. I'm back. Sorry about before..."

"I even brought a little present. See?" (I think that's poo residue on the basking rock by his head now! :dead:

)

"Sniff sniff... Hmm..."

"On second thought..."

"I'll be over here by the pool."

"Who am I kidding? I need the attention."

"This is my 'charming' face. Are you charmed?"

"WELL? ARE YOU CHARMED OR WHAT?!"

And then he disappeared.

If I had a skinkcam at work, I know I'd get fired! I'm constantly walking by my skinks' tanks to see what they are doing. Can Ping see his reflection in your cam? Why does he hang out over there? Is that where you feed him? It is too funny!
Is the tail improving? Everything else OK? He is a cutie. I understand why you are so addicted!
Tattoo, my husband calls this the "dork board" but it is my comic relief! I joined the forum to learn more about my skinkies but I must admit that it has been a fun trip!

I don't think he can see a reflection, and it's been there for months, but he still seems curious about it. It does kind of look like a giant eyeball all up in his personal space. It overlooks the basking rock, so that's why he's there so much. It's neat to know that he's got his own daily routine when he's left all alone.

The tail is weird. Pigment is starting to return to it. Each day I poke the whole length of it to make sure he still feels it and can jerk it away. Ew...after I took these pictures, I realized it might look like DEATH is creeping into it, but in real life it doesn't seem that way at all. It's flexible and he uses his muscles in it all the way to the tip. The vet said not to worry unless it becomes stiff or he can no longer move or feel it. It's really bizarre. :noknow:
