Watson is a big eater.... am I feeding him too much?

He likes to eat.. he likes when I blend endive and acorn squash mixed /w cat food. I put rasperries on top.. like someone did here under the menus' and Watson loves it, this was during lunch @ 12:pm.. right now 6:30pm i offered him a snail... and he devoured it!!! He ate two wax worms earlier today too!!!

This is too much food isn't it????

Great pictures. Such vivid colors! I always only feed once per day ... not sure if other's feed more often. Tattoo seems to have peaks and valleys when it comes to eating. These seem to coinside with her shed cycle. She seems to tank up right before the shed and them takes a couple of days off from food after the shed. Maybe Watson is in the hungry stage and will even out.

When I first got my bluey she was little (the runt of the litter actually) and I offered her food once in the early am and once in the late afternoon. After a while she wasn't interested in the second meal and others on the forum suggested that I should only feed once so I changed it. Since then she's been eating everything on her plate. Sometimes she'll just nibble the first time around but she gets to it later.

I envy those of you who have big eaters.

I'd go with one good meal a day, I have to offer the health food in the morning, if eaten sometimes I give a treat in the evening, sometimes this spoils his appetite for the healthy stuff next feed and he'll hold out until he gets what he wants{snails/superworms/chicken} mine has always been a picky eater though

Boris, my IJ, has always been a picky eater nothing like devouring or a clean plate...
My Tanimbar loves to eat but nothing like a super big chomper.

Just like others i envy those who has big eaters.

I think youre doing just ok, Leigh is right sometimes giving them the "live treat" will spoil their appetite the next day and try to hold it until they get what they want. Id offer them as much as they like though since i dream of having a big eater bluey, cleaning and licking plates until to the last drop.
The big appetite can also mean that they are well adjusting from the variety of food you are giving him/her. Let him bulge since he is still a baby, youd know when to adjust the food quantity when he starts to be like a balloon..hehehe
