BLUE TONGUE SKINKS

Kona has become Cole’s Homework Helper….well, I guess she doesn’t help, but she supports his efforts. While Cole does his homework, she just sits very still and watches him. Last night she sat like this and didn’t move for over 15 minutes while Cole worked. It’s so cute. She just watches him. It is like she knows that he needs some support and she does it. Instead of me fighting with him to do homework, he actually came home today and said, “I have homework and I am going to get Kona and do it.” I can only hope the novelty of this doesn’t wear off anytime soon! Instead of Cole saying, "Homeworork Stinks" maybe he will now say, "Homework Skinks"....okay, bad joke.

My students love to read to Christopher. He'll actually stare at the pictures when they show him so they think it's great.

Well if anything happens to his homework, he can always say "The Skink ate my Homework!"
I wonder how that'll go over with the teacher?

My BTS, Pele', helps my son with his reading---he sits in his lap while he does it! I never thought about having him supervise the rest of the homework. Great idea! I'll discuss it with the two of them. Charlotte will not be invited to help. She would poop on his homework. Crazy baby!

Skinks never cease to amaze me, I would never in a million years think I'd be using let alone writting the word cute ,but it has to be said ,thats the only word to describe the first picture

Thanks for all your replies, everyone!! I had Cole read the responses and he was just grinning ear to ear. I think he is now secretly hoping she poops on his homework because he thinks that would be pretty funny to bring his paper in with a poop spot on it. I hope his teacher has a good sense of humor!!
