BLUE TONGUE SKINKS

I gave Tattoo her first butterworm yesterday. She was pretty much asleep when I put it down if front of her but she came to pretty quickly. Wow ... that didn't last long. She loved it. I bet when she gets another next week she will be just as pleased.

My gecko, Tiny Dragon loves butterworms! I'll have to try some with Chuffie, but as he turned his nose up at the silkworms, I wonder how he'll react to the butters?

Hmmm.... maybe butter worms taste like butter. O.k. ... bad Crone. I'm going to try phoenix worms next (well not me, I will give them to Tattoo). Anyone tried those on their bluey?

I've tried phoenix worms. My blueys liked them but the problem is that even the large ones are really to small for a bluey. I'd give them a good ten or so worms, they'd gobble them up and then look at me like that's it. Where's the rest.

I think I will try them as a mix with other food. Bet our African Clawed Frogs would like them too.

gosh i hope those feeders will be available here, the only thing i can find are crix, superworms,mealworms and silkworms ( rare)
im sure my blueys would have a feast if i have those!

He likes Phoenix worms, but his favorite meat source is fuzzies...the other day he ate 2 fuzzies along with his normal portion of veggies, greens, and a grape...he can be such a piggy...but now he won't eat for a couple of days since he is getting ready to shed...he is always ravenous about a week before then goes all picky on me.

I know mice are really good for them but ... I don't think I can bring myself to do that. I was o.k. with the worm and I know the snail will be difficult but mice will not be on the menu. I suppose if I can find a good frozen one and look the other way ... er ... maybe not.

I feed him frozen mice, just defrost in some water and they are good to go. LittleFoot isn't much for stalking his prey, unless they stay in his food dish. Plus I am worried if I buy a live feeder my kids will get attached and want to name it.

Maybe if I can screw my courage up I will try some frozen pinkies. Better tackle the snail first though. Thanks for the info.

Watson loves the snails... and loves Wax worms.

He takes the little worm and shakes it left to right, and goes so fast..he almost looks like a wild beast eating somethin' fierce!

He's so cool, he loves snails too! It always seems like he has an amazing sense of smell, cause whenever I put the snail or worm in his dish... he goes right to it immediately.
