BLUE TONGUE SKINKS

Does anybody else ever see their Bluey just lounging with their forelegs in this position?
It really cracks me up! It looks like he wants a backwards "Gimme five". . .


I don't have pics of this yet, but he sometimes "slithers" without using his back legs, and I call it his snake-move. Its so funny!


I love my sweet boy. I know Santos is ridiculously cute, but how could anyone not just love Chuff's face? (even with food on it?)




And sometimes he's such a muppet!


I'm not his only friend though. . . He likes to go exploring with his buddy!



And finally, the very difficult to get and much coveted tongue shot.


There, I have obeyed the Law!!! I know, my tongue shot is nothing on some of you guys, but I'll eventually get the hang of it.

great pics! funny first, when does your skink slither like that?

He does the slither thing in the grass sometimes if he's going slightly downhill, and/or when he's trying to fit somewhere smallish. And I have to admit, sometimes I ask him "Hey Chuff, do slither-legs!" and I'll gently push his legs when he's running around on the carpet so he just automatically holds his legs in that position for a few steps. Its really funny!
I'll also let him use my fingers to get good footing and push off. he can really move when he wants to.
We just recently got a video cam, so I'll try and get some footage of it.
So does yours ever do this? Or sit with their hands backwards?

I was looking at one of my babies (Bella) and she was doing that same thing with the hand today.. its funny.

my big blue does that slither thing i thing it looks like an alligator. none of the others does it. plus he hates his back feet to be touched but lilly will let me rub all over hers. i touch blues anyways just to get him use to it.

My guys do the slither thing a lot especially when they are outside.

I have seen that lounge lizard position before, and I to had to move the foot, it did make me feel queezy,nice close up mate hee hee.
