Bindi & Irwin - Together at Last

Well, if I learned anything at all about blueys today, it's that they're not the most cooperative at studio type shooting, and that they don't mind each other's company at all. I had the camera on tripod, halogen flood on a stand, a simple black base and plain white background, a couple of epoxy glued rock formations. I was hoping to get several good shots of them together toward the center of this setup. So much for that idea! 
I got a couple good ones that were just luck. The rest are shots of them taking off for the edge of the base, or at the edge of the base staring down at the floor. They weren't interested in the rocks at all, just the floor!? Hmmmm, maybe I should have shot on the floor???
It was fun to try though. I decided on indoors so I would have better control over both at the same time. These two are definitely nothing like Eugene or Hannibal when it comes to sitting still. They love exploring! I'm very glad they're so happy and active.
So, I'll start with the best and end up with where it became impossible. But at least you'll get a good idea of their relative size.

"It is an edge Bindi! You oughta see this floor!"!"
"Well move Irwin, ya big lug, I want to see the floor too!"
"Wow, now that's a floor!"
"Oh oh, here he is with the camera again!"
"Whattaya think Irwin, think we could make it if we jumped at the same time?"
"I don't think so Bindi. Let's just stay here at the edge so he can't get a good shot!" "I'm with you Irwin."

Those are great!!!! You got a few tongue shots!!!! I always have the worst trouble trying to get two skinks to behave themselves for a photo. One'll be paying attention and the other one won't and then vise versa. Or like your guys nobody does what they are suppose to! It's great that they get along. Just continue to keep an eye on them and especially watch in the spring time when it's mating season.
