sanchez is finally out of his slump : )

Well I picked Sanchez up a couple weeks ago from a local pet shop and ever since then he has been so depressed and sad. I thought it was maybe the temperature or he didn't like the hides or fake folage. I even went back to the pet store to confirm everything he had eaten there since he was born 8 months ago. So i tried something new and let him run around the house freely until he was good and tired. And i changed his diet up completely from what they told me. Now it's nothing, but fresh fruits and vegetables with a helping of Natural Life dog food. I've blended everything up, acorn squash, cactus pads, snow peas(peas and pod), mustard greens, a few baby carrots, collard greens, and some baked chicken. i make him a fruit salad to satisfy his sweet tooth and toss a few crickets in his tank for whenever he's feeling fiesty. Thanks to all the information on this site, I'm positive that i saved him from a lonely death.

Thats great to hear WaterWagen.
Because of the change of diet it might take a while for him to accept what he's been given to eat.
But if he still isnt eating not to worry, just make sure he has plenty of fresh water and food near by just incase he does get hungry and/or thirsty.
He might not eat for a couple of days but one day he will get that urge and just go for whats been given to him

If there is any question or concerns dont hesitate so ask us..
We dont bite :lol:

And when you can, take some picture of sweet Sanchez so we can all see what a beautiful skink he is

Glad to hear thing are looking up. I think letting him stretch his legs is one of the best things you can do for him. Imagine being couped up in a tank all day every day. I like to let my bluey outside in the grass a few times a week. It gets their blood flowing. Good exercise.
