They will need be to separated eventually, though, unless they happen to be both female and get along fabulously.

Can you get a better picture of that divider? It does look sort of strange.

The housing beardies together thing is often debated. There are people who keep males and females together in very large enclosures (year round instead of just for breeding season), people who keep males and females together just for breeding season, people who have success keeping two females together, and then people who have bad experiences trying either of those combinations. So I think it's hard to say one way or the other, except that you never want to keep two males together.

And I agree, Beardie babies are so adoreable . Someday I'm going to get one, but for now I'll just enjoy Leneevik's company.

Sounds "theoretically" what you could do with BTS (females with females etc), but it's still a risk any way you do it....

They are really cute Jacob...

But personnaly I'd take the heating rock outtathere...(if that's a heating rock...I think it is) and I'd give them each a llight and put a secure lid cause those things are pretty jumpy and good at escaping..... you never know! ;)

If he meant the idea that it's hard for them to find their food, I agree.

They are great jumpers.

Dividing the cage so they can find food easier sounds like BS to me, plus the divider lessons their ability to thermoregulate.

Looking at the size of that tank, I don't think it should be divided because of the food issue. Soon enough they'll both need a LOT more space undivided!

Vosjoli recomends keeping them together so they learn the social hierarchy. He calls them semi social lizards. Isn't it amzing how things differ?

Jacob, do you have a UV light? They WILL die without one (I can attest to the two I had before I knew anything about reptiles)

I dunno....

I have three beardies that I keep together ( one male & two female), and I have never had any sort of problem with them. I keep them in a 65 long gallon tank. Before that, the two female were kept together. I have a big male thats way too aggresive, so he stays alone in his tank. I don't understand why you couldn't keep babies together? Unless you don't know the sexes of them?

Jacob, do you have a lid on the tank? Beardies can really jump well! When my one male was a baby, I had him out and he jumped up over my head and under my bed. Scared me big time!

We kept our male and female babies together until they were 4 or 5 months old. No problems until Yoshi started the headbobbing and getting all blackbearded and such. Zoey started handwaving and we said, Woah!!!. Separate cages for you guys.

They are good jumpers. And fearless!! Yoshi jumped from my shoulder to my niece's head when we were at the vets  Luckily, she's got long hair and he had something to hold on to.

Can you really support them? Just a week ago your 3 blueys were escaping every day, and the baby beardies eat a LOT, not to mention you still have to get bigger cages.

1,000 crickets are going to go fast. Especially since you have 2 beardies.
