Wow Zach, thank God you got him out. I've been trying every type of leash on Azul and nothing has worked so far. He's been able to get out of all of them. I was up at my mom's house and had Azul outside. I turned my back for 2 seconds to get up and he was gone. It took all I had not to panic. I went inside and told my mom and dad and they came out to help me. Yes, by the grace of God we found him, but at one point I thought I was never going to see him again. So don't feel alone b/c you are not the only one to have this happen. As I read your story all of the feelings came flooding back to me. It was horrible. How's his tail doing? I hope ok and no sign of infection.

The Humane Society took Michael Vick's pit bulls, asked for public money to help them, then decided it would be best to kill them... adopt from No Kill shelters http://www.roas.petfinder.com

I can't keep up with all the threads and off topic posts anymore. I was just going to ask how things were going and how Eugene was doing, but I guess I'll go search around to see where it's posted.
I had two thoughts about your situation:
One- Next time a skink disappears, don't tell 911 that it is a reptile, but a small helpless, naked deformed puppy with bad skin! They will move heaven and earth to find it.
Second: YOu have the great makings of your movie now. A pet skink wanders into underground pipes and has encounters all along the way. Meeting other wild lizards and creatures, ends up in a sewer system and has a scary encounter with an urban legend sewer gator... and finally ends up safe in the arms of his beloved owner.
