When the life goes out of them I can't believe that they are "finished". After so many rescues - I seemingly "killed" so many. I just think I made it better.
OK I might be being spiritual or optimistic but life is so much more than the body and if it isn't - we aren't really going to give a fig.
Inadvertantly, being responsible for the death of a life hurts and that means that the life was something to lose and moved us in an otherwise than physical way.
I think we have the concept of "life" all wrong and it continues in a way we cannot even imagine!

I hate having to drive big cars. normally birds are so smart. they stay away from them but she just flew right underneath mine. I am having a bad day. Hell I am having a bad year since january things have been going wrong.
Aww, not your fault. If not for humans and your car, the native carnivores that would still be plentiful in the area would have gotten her! Really though, everything is going to die, if she made it to adulthood nothing to feel bad about.![]()
Way to put things in perspective, Omega.
lol, glad I could be of service! I've luckily never hit anything with my car bigger than a large insect, but I feel bad even then, hehe. Glad to hear it was a male bird Brigget, we are pretty replaceable in the scheme of things!

Sick of this war and the administration. Bring the troops home.
No one blames the soldiers. We want them home safe and sound. I blame this administration. I'm embarrassed and horrified.

Amen.
Everyone knows it's a civil war over there, as much as the governments avoid that word like the plague. It's always "pockets of resistance" and other crap. It's a dirty, drawn out, down right nasty Vietnam Mark II and no one wants to admit it.
I don't think anyone in their right mind blames the soldiers sent over there. I remember how angry I was when I read about the downright disgusting behaviour of Fred Phelps and the Westboro Baptist Church at military funerals. http://www.speroforum.com/site/article.asp?id=2888

On a completely different and much more frivolous note, I love your signature.

Hence the "[no one] in their right mind" comment.

I can't imagine being there. One of my philosophy classes was "The Morality of War," and a soldier who had gotten back from baghdad in the class had sad stories. He accidentally killed an old woman who ran across a street while insurgents were around, and I'm sure will be dealing with it for a long time. Can't believe so many people my age and even some younger are losing their lives for this...

I wanted to go to Jerry Falwell's funeral with signs saying things like "Gays Love: Jerry Dies," and "Jerry Died because of Homos," perhaps even, "No one F**ks with Tinkie Winkie," because the Westboro folks seem to use every death to justify smiting against gays.
