My female from Prince Regent in Western Australia, you see here is not gravid, the reason why she is Fat, is because she lost more than half of her tail, and has nowhere to store all the fat like she would normally.

Otherwise she would be skinny, like you can see with my other female Northern Blue-Tongue Lizards, that have their whole tail.

From Les.

I've never heard of that, nor have I thought about it. I have two Northerns with cut tails; both of whom are very fat even though they are given normal meals in small amounts.

The only reason l say my female Kimberley Blue-Tongue from Prince Regent is fat, even those she is not gravid, is because she is missing more than half of her tail.

l know alot of people have not heard of this before, but when you look at a female who as her whole tail, and see she is not as fat, when they a both feed the same diet and amount of food together.

Why is it then that the female who is missing more than half of her tail, be more fatter, and as nowhere to store as much fat in, like a female who as her whole tail would be able to do, be more skinny.

The female l gave to Richard c from broome Western Australia, is in the same condition, where she is missing more than half of her tail, and is more fatter than my female from Broome, who as her whole tail.

So because l have had 2 female Kimberley Blue-Tongue Lizards, that a both missing more than half of their tail, always were on the fatter side, than any female l have had that as their whole tail.

l can't think of any other reason why.

Oh no, it makes sense! Like I said, it would explain why my two Northerns with cut tails are so chubby.....
