I would say it's too short. My shortest cage is about 12 inches high and I have to have my lights on a stand because otherwise they are too close to the basking rock. I also have to be careful which bluey I put in it because it's low enough for them to find away out of. I was looking at their screen tops and couldn't find any that fit that size. I use their 65 gallon sliding glass fronts and love them.

Hey Jenn,
What's the dimensions of your short tank top? Here's two places that have many different sizes of "Tough Tops" black metal screening. The same as GlassCages, but cheaper. I have the sliding front 65 also and got my top at the first place below.

Also, I sent you a PM about your blankets.
Best Wishes,

That tank is about a 3 1/2 foot square. My dad made it for me. He also made me a top to fit. I just have to make sure I always put it on just right otherwise Frankie finds a way out if she's in an adventures mood.

Yep, if you have a low tank, just be sure to lock down the lid! I had a cage that was 12 inches high. It had a sliding top with a pad lock.
