Haha, I feel your paranoia and I don't even have my BTS yet. I've never dealt with snails before, but from what I've read in this forum, you will want to fill a bucket up a bit with water and leave the snails in it for a few days. This will give them time to cycle out the toxins (through excrement or their skin, not sure which). If the snail dies during the detox, then it probably wasn't good to feed your bluey in the first place. I would do a forum search on this, because I know it's been talked about before.

Snails are GOOD, if you know where they're from and whats been fed to them, as russman said , a bucket, a little water, some greens , wait a few days, still moving =fine to feed

Make sure your water doesn't have clor(am)ine in it, that will kill your snails pretty fast.

Good thinking, if you use tap water, leave it in the open top bucket over night and the chlorine will escape, or put in a bottle, put the top on and shake the back out of it , that'll get rid of it as well, lastly if you've got fish use the dechlorinator

I've used dechlor in a pinch, but the filtered water gizmos that fit on the sink faucet work pretty good as well. I don't mind my animals having filtered water at all.

Considering a $15 filter lasts me, my better half, and the pets close to seven months of water, I can safely say with a tiny budget it's far from posh. :lol:

Jets all the way, one day we will get a quarter-back who doesn't dislocate his shoulder everytime he throws the ball :roll:

I use filtered water for all the animals...the water out here is so nasty your teeth have sand in them if you use it to brush your teeth...we had to get this huge system installed to fix it. :?
