Hi, is this a new buddy for you? I couldn't help but notice his poor little toes, and I just wanted to give some advice: He looks a lot like mine, (I got mine from a friend of a friend and was told it is the Indonesian/Merauke type, which are mostly wild caught!

), and I have no clue about the sex/gender of my Bluey. However, my excellent Herp veterinarian said that probing/popping is a very bad idea to find out the gender, and unless you plan on breeding, it doesn't matter anyways. So, love your skink for whatever he/she is, they're great critters, and yes, please do read the care sheet! Have him/her checked out at a good herp vet, because unless you got it from a known and reputable captive breeder, it was very likey wild caught, and needs a check up for parasites! (Mine's being treated for hookworm at the moment.) Good luck, and I'm glad you found this forum, there is a wealth of caring people who have excellent exerience and advice!
