Hi there, are there any BTS owners in the UK? If so can anyone tell me a good place to get a decent sized viv for my BTS at a good price? I have also been thinking of making my own viv, what size do you all recommend?
I know someone who has a run off of their viv like a rabbits one - is this a good idea?
He is only little and in 3ft viv at the moment but he will need something bigger.

I'm down in Bristol and you can get them from a lot af places, or build your own, either shouldn't be too much trouble, you want a floor area of 3feet by 2 feet minimum for an adult, bigger is better, the rabbit like run is ok inside as long as they dont end up with cold drafts getting in

It's just that all the vivs I see in the shops are really quite narrow, which is fine for my snakes but concerned that when Doug gets bigger he wont be able to turn around. Would like a viv that was more square but can't find one anywhere. Is making my own gonna be my only option?

I think its the best option, that way you get the exact size you need/want, you can go to a glass seller with the sizes, they'll cut them for you and buy a tube of silicone to stick it together yourself. Or get the wood and build it yourself.

i think if you can build yourself do it like i said i had my freind build mine he made it like a peice of furniture 4ft length 2ft depth and 4ft high its divided into two and my berbers have the top part its very sturdy and cost £230.00 i priced it in the shops and it was going to cost over £400. and the wood was inferior to what my freind use that was with fifty quid i gave hime to make it so really you could build for under £200 to your own specImage
