Yeah, but cats don't generally wipe their butts on the carpet nor do they eat poo then try to lick your face. Nor have I ever known a cat to try and hump anyone's leg. . .I had a cat that was so cool, I taught him to sit up and beg! I could chew on his ears, pick his toes, brush his teeth, and he was soooo mellow!
But I gotta agree with Jenn, I like dogs like kids and large parrots, when they're someone elses' responsibility. Now well behaved dogs can totally be awesome, but with cats, my hands rarely smell yukky after petting them. Give me a skink any day, so much easier to take care of and so rewarding!

My cat Benny plays fetch. It's the cuttest thing because he only plays with this one type of mice, whcih are bright orange, pink, blue and green. He's a big, black cat and all you see is this bright pink, little mouse in his mouth.

I love my skinks just as much as I love my cats. The only real problem with a bluey is that you can't cuddle with them as you fall asleep at night. In theory I guess you could but I think it might be a little dangerous!

My dogs have never rubbed their buts on the carpet, one of them ate poo ONCE when she was little. I think they are a thousand times easier to take care of than cats. I tought mine to lick my face. My dogs are really well behaved, exept they are getting old and starting to go a little senile. I don't know if I would take a bluey over a dog. Sure blueys have personality but dogs are like family members. And good protection

I vacum and dust the regular amount so that takes care of any hair (theirs and mine!). Cats spent a lot of time a day cleaning themselves so they are actually very non-smelling animals.

Cat pee is the most disgusting smell..... Some kid came to school one day and his cat peed all over his backpack. You could smell it through the entire hall. (Don't ask me why he still brought it)

One of my two cats, my black and white male named Simon Houdini snuck out of the house last night. We haven't heard from him yet.

I'm a bit worried as he hasn't been out of doors since he was a 5 week old kitten.

He is microchipped, and wears a bright red harness so I'm hopeful he will return soon. But he is my lap warmer and I miss him, his sister Lexi has been crying for him all day. They have never been seperated before.

You should post flyers and put em around the neighborhood.
This is depressing, but thats how I lost my cat Raven (Jenn, Hooray for Black cats, I've always had them!) and then a neighbor called me and told me that she had seen him dead in the road, so she had called animal control to come and pick him up. The only thing I found was his red collar, name tag, and a blood stain in the road. This woman was harsh and mean, but at least she called and let me know what happened so I had closure.
I Super-Uuuber hope to any Gods/Goddesses that watch over felines that your kitty comes home safely and alive and well to you all. Please keep us cat lovers updated!

Simon is still not home yet, I have some flyers printed up and already dropped one off at the local Kwik Trip, the rest will be hitting light posts everywhere tomorrow. I also went up and down the streets around my house knocking on doors asking if people had seen him, no one has.

He does have a harness with a rabies tag with my vets # and another tag that has the chip company's # and his ID on it.

I used to have a, pure black cat named Oliver who got out of the people's house, who were watching him for me, I never saw him again. That's why I got these two chipped, even if he gets hit, they scan the corpses so the owners can be informed.

My house never smelled like cat pee oddly enough, however I only have one cat, and she's a female... She's always seeking attention from me too, and cuddle up every moment she get. She even ask to be picked up and be carried around the house at your feet sometimes.

My dog on the other hand is indifference to everything, and the only time he want your attention is if there's another dog nearby or if he want human food. It's bloody annoying as well when he want human food... he does these high-pitch barks which hurt the ears. One time, he tore a guest's eardrum while demanding food. He's not a yip-yap dog either. Basic summary of him? Just lay around all day, eat and go to the bathroom and only move when it is time for dinner. Even though he appear to be too independent, he's still a great dog -- he let us know when the teenagers are spray-painting the fence or someone climbing into the yard or if there someone breaking into the neighbour's house.

Our cat does let us know what's happening too, but she doesn't know how to wake up people when they are sleeping; I have seen her try to wake up my sister once, and she had no luck.

I need to post pictures of them sometimes.

My cats have a whole plan on how to wake me up and boy does it work. Alley (my calico female) has a very deep, loud meow and she puts her mouth right into my ears and meows. If by some chance I move my head while she's doing that and she can't get to my ear, Benny or Phoenix will start attacking my feet, which are uselly sticking out from the blankets. Which ever one isn't attacking my feet, will sit on my chest and start bopping my heat with their paws.

The goat story reminded me of my duck story from Mother's Day 6 years ago. I was driving into NYC with my kids on rt 80 (major highway in jersey) and I notice on the fast lane shoulder a momma duck waddling along with about 10 ducklings I pull over the car and stop three lanes of traffic (yeah not my brightest moment) A cop comes along and starts yelling at me and calling me crazy. I told him the momma could have flown away at any time but she stayed because she knew she babies needed her. Then I added, "do you want to kill her babies on mother's day" We shooed momma off to the other side of the road (at this point there were about 10 other people helping out) and her babies followed after her. The cop got into his car muttering something about crazy women and animals, but my kids still cheered me on.

Yay for LittleFoot!

Oh yeah...well my goats will kick your cats and your dogs butt!


I love cats and dogs. Only one dog though, and my cat of 19 years passed away last year. I don't think I'll get another.
