I really don't think it is too good for them...it's scented smoke.
It can irritate the respitory system, and the eyes.

Agreed. Just so the world knows, incense is not a good way to cover up pot or the fact your cat box might need changing or that your bathroom fan isn't working. Those of us with properly working nasal passages might be turned away by the stinging reek of smoky sticks enough so we won't smell anything to begin with, but that's your only defense!

I hate that stuff. It's worse than candles, plug-ins, dangling christmas trees and sprays put together. If something stinks CLEAN IT!

There. *sneeze* SOME people's habits! I never!

By the way, I happen to agree. . . (I loathe perfume! I figure, this isn't the 1700's anymore, we're not trying to cover up the stench of B.O. or disease or death! We now have access to fresh water and soap, I just wish people in general would realize just how gross it all is! :dead: )

Incense and scented candles and Glade air fresheners are all pretty bad things to burn around critters (and people for that matter!)
If you have to burn candles, make sure they're beeswax and the wicks are all cotton, because some wicks have zinc in them which is horrible for you when it burns.

On a similar note, I've heard that cooking with Teflon/non-stick coated pans is very bad for parrots and other birds. I figure if its bad for birds, it probably ain't so good for us, (canary in the coal mine theory here!) so it must not be good for lizards either. Anyone agree/confirm this at all? :hurl:

Right now everything causes cancer *headsmack*. I'm told this regularely by my great-aunt. I hate incence, but only because they make me sick. They're probably not good for the skinks because it's smoke.

I don't burn incense, but I do burn scented candles. I've never given too much though to it, since the candles are never closer than 10 feet from his tank.
Also, there are definitely better ways to hide the smell of pot if you are really interested.

I'm not promoting drug use here, just promoting bluey health.

Everyone I tell that I burn incense thinks it is to cover up marijuana. I have no clue why. Is it because I am a teen?

Did you have to sandblast your nasal passages in order to enjoy that... um... stuff?

Well, in all honesty, yes, it's partially because you're a teen, and because a noticeable percentage of the American populous smokes marijuana, and well, that's what most of those people use to cover the smell of marijuana. Isn't it nice to be shoeboxed? I love it when it happens to me too. :)

My statement was general. Incense isn't good for any living thing, I believe. Including blueys. I really could care less what you do one way or the other.

(Edit: I forgot to put at least something about blueys in at least one of my four posts. :nanny: )

...or perhaps it's the SuperUberUpsize fries that offsets the diet soda...?

Yep indeedy, Kyle, you're on the same wavelength! :edward:
But I was thinking it more offset the 2 dozen box o' doughnuts as well as the Uber-sized Jumbo burger of doom.
