one of my 9 babie bluey has returned

Postby aussiebluey » Sat Sep 08, 2007 9:59 pm

i found 9 babie blueys in jan this year they were so tiny only days old i kept them for 3 months or so just to make sure no predators got 2 them they were about 15-18cm and really healthy by the time i released them back into my garden ,ive just had 1 return on my front doorstep yesterday and he /she hasn't grown at all is this normal or has he/she come back looking for food ,it's so tame it's like it remembers me. i read that blueys can reach adult size within a year so why is my baby still the same size . love to hear your thoughts... :

hi aussie bluey, welcome to the site mate, firstly with regards to adult size in one year thats more in captivity and kept warm for there first winter, also more the northern sub species, down south blotched, easterns and westerns have to hibernate and being born so late in the season dont get the chance to grow much before there body shuts down,u will find the 9 little ones if they all survive the hustle and bustle of the wilds will probably hanhg around your vacinity, your yard may be a part of there territory, thanks for sharing mate

Under the ' Quick reply " box it should say 'upload pic' in blue writing..

Click that and then click browse to find whatever picture you want to post. Then click send... once the picture has finished loading it will show you the actual picture.. then you click 'insert picture and upload another one'

and yeah, hope that helps lol
