Feeding

I justgot a hopper for izzy and i wanted to feed it to him but i dont want to put it in there and izzy not to be hungry then the little bugger hiding away for ever so wats the best way to give it to him so that it doesn't hide away any idea's

Make sure he's had time to warm up, and looks like he's on the hunt for nosh.Or dont feed him for a couple of days to ensure he's hungry.

Or you could put them both in a separate enclosure with no hiding places.

i think i'll combind the 2 thanks guys but i can only not feed him for 2 days other wise i'll break cuz he'll look so sad ya know what i mean!

The method I use is to dangle the feast in front of the glass or even dangle it down from above. The skink's reaction tells me all I need to know :whistle:

Eugene ate one two days ago...

+ 2.2 Irian Jaya (Slurpy, Nona, Sassy, Cool Moe Dee)
+ 1.1 Eastern (Eugene, Enzo)
+ 1.2 Northern (Niko, Pearl, Peach)
+ 1.0 Tanimbar Island (TQ)

ok kick ass i'll keep that in mind i think izzy should be fine for 2 days then i'll try dangling it in front of him and see if he wants it if so ill put them in the feeding tank and let izzy go at it thanks

My Tybo tasted mouse for the first time yesterday. I fed my ball python a thawed hopper and cut the tail off and dangled it in front of him.. He licked it for a bit, then chomped it. Shoulda gotten pictures.

hey russ, i wana try to feed my BTS a mouse but caresheet says that atleast 1 year of age.. shucks! i cant wait!

Q: did he eat the day after, after chomping the mouse? im envy with your BTS' appetite
whose the heaviest eater?>

You can feed him pinkies from practically day one, and then fuzzies, before getting to big fat meeses. I've never feed mine mice but I do occasionally give them pinkies.
