Where are you getting it from? Chances are it will be wild caught. I love my indo but she mostly a look at vs. cuddle skink. The spook easier. Now like any skink, there are execeptions.

I love my indo. He hisses a bit when picking him up but once ive got him, he relaxes. Mine was about a year and a half when i bought him so he was probably wild caught. But the lady said they had him in store for a few months and that probably tamed him quite a bit because hes never showed me his tounge, he just hisses a bit if nervous. Just make sure if its store bought to examine the lizard real good, look for missing toes, lifted scales (mites) look at the mouth to make sure the scales look good (mouth rot) check the start of the tail for any strange bumping (bone disease) or for any other scars or strange behaviors. The store i bought mine at has a lovely lady who knows how to take care of lizards. she was feeding him greens, cat food and some fruit. Ask what theyve been feeding him, if its just crickets or mealworms, you might want to shy away and look for another. Calcium is huge in blueys and if they havent been feeding him calcium rich foods, he may be at the verge of malnutrition. And if you got time, ask if you can take some pictures of him so people on the forum can help you decide. But overall I love my indo!
My BTS can read. (I think)

Any Indo you see in a pet store will be wild caught. It's almost 100% safe to say that unless they have a wild caught mother that gives birth, which is still borderline as many still believe wild caught babies to be, still, wild caught. Also, gravid females are now usually held overseas so the exporters can make money off the babies once they're born...
