Post pictures of what you are seeing in his ears before you go digging around in there! It could be stuck shed, or it could just be his ear scales. We need to see clear pictures to be sure though.
Congrats on your new buddy!

You'll find this place is full of tips, tricks, and general knowledge about all things BTS. Be sure to ready over the care sheet, it's full of a lot of great info. Ask away if you have any questions, and most importantly you are absolutely required to post excessive amounts of pictures of your BTS.The Humane Society took Michael Vick's pit bulls, asked for public money to help them, then decided it would be best to kill them... adopt from No Kill shelters http://www.roas.petfinder.com

mate dont go digging in the ears willy nilly, there's a lot of damage to be done, doyou mean his ears looks like this.
You must post a pic for questions like this, well pictures Are The Law regardless of questions or not.He does sound very small for that age, did you mean months not years? The only safe way to determine sex, is get a pair and see if there are signs of interest( you should be experienced for that) or look for his double chipolatas when he has a dump, or look for sperm plugs after hes had a dump, you'll find out what they look like on the caresheet
MMMmmmmm... Something???????

From the very blurred pic you took of his ears, it looks like stuck shed in there to me. Ask the Experts, and the Aussie/Rehab peeps for advice on what to do about it. (Maybe PM Dead Eye?)
Is it only on one ear or both?
Its a nice set up you have for him. Do you have a proper Herp vet that you can take him to? If not, try looking one up on www.herpvetconnection.com and find your state at the bottom. Should help you find a good one. THey should also hopefully be able to help you with his ear issues if you can't do it at home.
And for food, CareSheet, Caresheet, Caresheet!
