Orange Eyes or Brown Eyes?

I wanted to take a poll but didn't know quite how to set it up so I'll just start a thread on the subject.

What color is your bluey's eyes? And if you know the sex, please notate that as well. I'm curious to see what kind of average we get on the old theory that brown eyes are females and orange eyes are males.

I've also seen some pics on here of atleast one bluey with blueish colored eyes! That is too cool. Can't remember what sex that was...

Personally my "girl" (never been sexed) has orange eyes so that would go against the eye color theory in my case.

I'm eager to see others post. Especially those of you who know for certain what the sex is of your bluey.

Sophie has orange eyes and i believe that she is female (at least that is what I was told)

my lilly has a brown eye never been sexed but never saw a male sign (hemipenes or sperm plug)
blue has brown and he is definantly male i saw his hemipenes.
sassy has a greenish color but shes a tanny maybe almost a blueish color, never been sexed havent had her long enough to tell a diff.

I have been saying she all along but have no clue of course. At least I haven't made my poor lizard dress up in drag to add to it's confusion. :shock: :rofl:

Well ,I was told male, and he looked male when compared to the female in the shop at the time of purchase, there's been no proof yet, he seems to have orangey brown eyes, it does depend on the light

Chunka is a girl and Booger is a boy and they both have the same colored eyes...like a reddish orangish brown....lol :lol:

It sounds like this theory isn't reliable at all. I know what you mean about the lighting, Leigh. In some pic's, Sammy's eyes actually look gray/brown but they normally look orange.

Chuff usually has soft brown eyes, but they turn orangish in certain light.

Geoff is right on....I can't figure out how that got started but I remember it almost being the norm when I first got into BTS. Slurpy has brown eyes, and Sassy has light brown eyes.

Actually, everybody has brown eyes except Eugene...his are a little more red. TQ has dark, almost black eyes. You have to get really cose to see the dark brown.

Blue has orange and he's definitely a male; Severus has dark eyes... they look almost satanic....

It may come from box turtles. Normally males have red eyes, where females have brown.
