Hasn't anyone ever been around a lactating mother and seen them leak because it's past feeding time or when they hear a baby cry? Kinda puts a dent in the stimulation by feeding theory.

Thats what i was thinking. I also know this if VERY common with cows that have not been milked recently and they are full of milk, it will start spraying out.

Now the theory about becoming bipedal, why do dogs teats get enlarged when they start to produce milk, both during pregnancy and also during false pregnancy?

Cows are different than people, their udders are also much changed from their wild form.

Basically, milk is stored in the mammary gland and its associated ducts/canals. During pregnancy, milk is stored, but still, its not like a breast is a hollow cavity waiting to be filled with milk.

Breast swelling during pregnancy is obviously related to raising of the young, but the large amounts of adipose tissue stored is what makes up the "breast" that most people think of. The mammary gland is much smaller, and is the true organ associated with lactation and suckling.

Men also have mammary glands, but generally do not have breasts.

Hey True Blue, don't say you've gone
Say you've knocked off for a smoko
And you'll be back later on
Hey True Blue, Hey True Blue
Smoko
To 'knock off for a smoko' is to have a break for a coffee, tea or cigarette.

Give it to me straight
Face to face
Are you really disappearing,
Just another dying race,
Hey True Blue.
True Blue
Steadfast loyal Australian who displays the Aussie ideals of a fair go for all, mateship, having a go, and solving problems.

True Blue, is it me and you?
Is it Mum and Dad, is it a cockatoo?
Is it standing by your mate
When he's in a fight?
Or will she be right?
True Blue, I'm asking you...

Hey True Blue, can you bear the load?
Will you tie it up with wire,
Just to keep the show on the road?
Hey True Blue, Hey True Blue, now be Fair Dinkum
Fair Dinkum
Virtually the same as True Blue - honest, reliable, trustworthy, dinki-di; someone who has embraced the Aussie attitudes to everything, especially mateship. 'Are you fair dinkum?' means 'are you telling the truth?'

Is your heart still there?
If they sell us out like sponge cake
Do you really care?
Hey True Blue.

True Blue, is it me and you?
Is it Mum and Dad, is it a cockatoo?
Is it standing by your mate
When she's in a fight?
Or will she be right?
True Blue, I'm asking you...
True Blue, is it me and you?
Is it Mum and Dad, is it a cockatoo?
Is it standing by your mate
When he's in a fight?
Or will she be right?
True Blue ... True Blue.

Buity steve irwin day yesterday :)

Late on this thread! Glad the boobtalk is over for the most part. I hate having them, far more trouble than they're worth!

OK, so my cam is bieing pooey about uploading pics to the computer, so it'll have to happen laters, Sorry!

Bio:
I'm originally from Connecticut, but have lived across the U.S. to end up in WA State.
I'm an Animator/Artist, and I love herps, lizards especially. I've done Wildlife rehab and worked in a vet office in the past. My significant other Tony is a well known British animator, and the love of my life.
We have 5 lizards in our family.
Hobbies/Interests: I love Snowboarding/snowshoeing/cross country skiing hiking and Nintendo as well as drawing, painting, sculpting, photography and digital arts.
Dislikes: Developers that trash the environment and build ugly Clones-ville houing subdivisions, gun-toting red-necks that shoot everything for sport, Animal Exploitation, and Yo-Yo Homies that blast their stupid bass rap music at 3 AM while I'm trying to get sleep.
Currently working at a Biotech doing everything from Shipping/Receiving to website design. My second job is creating assets for online games. Keeps me psycho-busy!
I gotta admit, I'm a nerd and a big goofball. For some reason I am amused by poop jokes and stories. I think its why I love Lisa's Santos so much! I often find things really funny that most people just don't get. I guess that's the nature of an animator??Or maybe I'm just weird. . . :)
