Some Clarification for Yall!

Postby Blotch » Tue Dec 04, 2007 7:46 pm

Well, for all of you that remember my Blotchie Vic:

It brings me great pleasure to announce that I was in fact right, Vic is a Male. He finally shot some plugs in an area I could clearly see and boy-oh, They were huge!

So the only one of my blotchies I have to find out the sex of is Micro. And I'm betting a boy.

Comments?

Lol. You must have a lot of testosterone at your place  You need a few members of the fairer sex to even the odds.

you're telling me! I do have 1 confirmed female - she's an Eastern, I'm 98% sure one of my other easterns is a female too. I'm all for Jungle fever - but we won't go into that one cuz i'm severely out numbered, and I won't back down. :)

wow, fat for a bloke (beer belly??!)
How old is he? My eastern, everyone thinks he's a she except my vet who says probably a male.

'He' has done the bitey neck thing on both my blotch and today on my shingle (who is definately male).

Do you know of aggresive females? Never had spermies from Jubby and he/she'll be 4 in January. Always thought he was a she but now I'm wondering....

So then, any hanky panky yet down yonder?

Blotch, your outnumbered cause you can keep getting more pure ones, we're limited in our supply. But I'd be afraid if ya crossed the Easterns and Blotched you'd lose the pretty spots on the backs. Get some blotchie gals, I wanna see some blotchie babies out of ya.

LISA - He's just plain Awesome! He's all round big. Not sure how old he is - he was a uhh rescue? Long story. I have heard of Aggressive Females but have only seen one. I'm betting you have 3 Males. With your Eastern being the dominant one.

In regards to the hanky panky - Lil is pretty much the only one that is somewhat interested in mating and he has a crack at my Female Eastern but is never successful - however - I never really brumate them properly. So maybe next year.

FATAL_S - I've actually seen a Blotched/Eastern hybrid. It looked gorgeous! He had the greys of the Blotchies, with a strange pattern that was kinda like a cross between both. I'm just kicking myself I was never able to see it after it shed, apparently the patterns were crazy after a shed.

In regards to Blotchie Females - I want some, or atleast one. I'm actually hoping that Micro is a Female - then I can feed her to the wolves so to speak. I also have a Male Eastern which has had a crack at my known Female. But as with Lil - no Success. I guess time and patience is needed.

Here's my Male Eastern: http://bluetongueskinks.net/forum/album_page.php?pic_id=3712

Here's my 98% sure Female Eastern: http://bluetongueskinks.net/forum/album_page.php?pic_id=3716

Here they are both together: http://bluetongueskinks.net/forum/album_page.php?pic_id=3713

Here's my 100% sure Female Eastern: http://bluetongueskinks.net/forum/album_page.php?pic_id=3710
She still hasn't picked up her weight, but she's eating so I guess that's all I can really ask for. This is the one with the "sydney" coloration.
