Floods in Oregon area?

Hi Oregonians, how are you all faring in the floods? (I know southern WA state is pretty trashed!)
Please let us know you're all ok when you can! :shock:

The streets are flooded here! I parked at the UofO today and half my wheels were covered. :shock:

Luckily I have a 4x4...but poor Holly ran out of gas today in the middle of an intersection. It's a hectic term ending week.

Did you laugh at Holly? I bet she was agro!

It sucks running out of Gas, People always used to laugh at me when I ran out - but My fuel guage was stuffed, and the only way I could get a reading was from the guage on my actual Gas tank which was in my boot (trunk for all you yanks). Bummer thing was that guage didn't give 100% accurate readings, hence how I ran out numerous times.

I hope you guys handle the floods well, tell your god to send some water our way would ya?

You might want to reconsider the use of the word "never" John. This woman fills the tank, can change the oil and is pretty efficient with a 357 magnum. Not all women rely on eyelash batting to get by.

While I like your interpretation it's not quite what I was trying to convey. I simply wanted to point out not all women play the delicate or uninformed card. Some will however if you allow them to. :lol:

My husband is NOTORIOUS for leaving the car below the empty line and we live a good 10 miles to the nearest gas station. He hates getting gas.

I can't change the oil though. My grandfather once told me to put oil in my car so I put it in the gas tank. He was not a happy person. :oops:

I can change a tire, the oil, balance and align, take apart, clean and rebuild an engine, and change brake pads. Filling up the gas however is something I'm still not sure how to do -.-' Screw self-serve.

Things around here got a little crazy, but nothing bad. There was a lot of water on the roads on the way to my barn, but otherwise everything was ok.

I can't say that I can work on my car, but I've never run out of gas. :smile:

yeah there are, but they are generally rats. drug addicted scabs sitting below the poverty line by choice. Tatts everywhere, 80's hair do's, ripped Car tops (ford or holden - GM in the States). Terrible things that should be put down really.

Oh, I forgot the beer in hand at 8am. Can't forget the beer!!! Typical Doveton or Pines Rat.

2nd edit - To be fair, there are good feisty Girls here in Oz, My G/F is somewhat feisty, and she's not a rat like I decribed. However, I just give her a backhander if she steps out of place. LOL j/k

Most of the rain from the USA has come over here, hasnt stopped slashing down for three nights and days, and the winds getting silly. Chopsy women, I'll say nothing on that note, and birds that fill the car with petrol are neat until you own a diesel.

Poor Nomad just hasn't outgrown his little boy mentality that girls are gross/useless/have cooties, etc. Thats all! :lol:

Heh. I can change oil, tires, and pump gas. I've only run out of gas twice ever, because my fuel guage is broken. But I've had the car so long that I know how far it goes before it conks out now!

Everything turned out fine, but now the van smells like gas! :lol:

It's been a funny week entirely with finals, floods, I couldn't find my sister for a while....I'm ready for the break. :lol:

Nomad is an eagle scout! Instead of flirting with the girls in grade school he was building stilts out of cans and carving blocks of wood into whistles! :rofl:
