jak ate a rock?
Yesterday my bts Jak was outside with me on the lawn, when he ate a rock before i could stop him. It wasnt too big and he seems fine, but i'm still worried, is this a strange behaviour i don't know about or something else?

Several people on this site have had the same problem. Some people dont think it is a problem, however, I feel that it isnt a great thing for any animal (exception with birds) to be eating rocks. I would def be watching his eating habits as well as how often he is pooping. If either one stops, then I would be looking for a reptile vet to have an x-ray done to make sure the rock hasnt plugged him up.

I treat Rollie's play areas like they do for the land speed records on the salt flats:
1 - Check for holes
2 - Check for rocks
3 - Check for sticks
4 - Check for trash
5 - Check for animals
- Playtime.

Yes mine all went through the small rock and pebble eating stage.
Whilst they are captive bred, they are still wild animals and so as far as I'm concerned anything they do outside it no different to what the wild bluey sitting over near the fence does and I let them do whatever they want, within reason. Like, just because the wild one has moved on and is sitting on the road soaking up the heat in the bitumen, I really don't recommend it to mine
That being said, if it was a large rock, then yes make sure it's still going to the toilet afterwards. I don't know that you'd be able to see it in a poo, but the fact that it does do a poo is the sign you're looking for.

Weird, I think they do it in the wild, because this past summer I pried a stone out of Chuffies mouth before he could eat it. The snail theory works for me, as it seems to be a staple of their diet in the wild.
Anyway, did you see how big the rock was? (pebble versus stone versus rock vs boulder?) Chuff went for something easily larger than a pebble, it was about 1.5-2 inches in diameter.
Just make sure he's pooping, and make sure you have a good herp vet lined up just in case you need xrays!
Hopefully, everything will come out OK.

Mine ate a stone last year,it was about 10-12mm long and slightly thinner,in my avatar you can see the sort of stone I mean, that thing has never made an appearance,I assumed they used it to help grind up the veg and help wear the snail shells down in the gut, lots of animals eat soil, stones and wierd stuff due to mineral content.
MMMmmmmm... Something???????
