The harmful for herp site will have food that are known to be harmful for even only one type of herp. So while cherries may be bad for one type, doesn't mean it'll hurt your BTS. Eggplant is known to be bad for some herps, and is a 'never' food on our caresheet, but I accidently fed it for 2 days (missed it on the sheet) and had no negative effects. Still, I'm not going to keep trying, just in case.

Potato is on the list of foods to feed rarely and I don't use it. I don't know why Asian pears are not listed so I just avoid them. As a general rule I don't feed nightshades. Nightshades can induce inflammation in humans with rheumatoid arthritis (I have a long history with that) so I don't feed any of them to my BTS. Nightshades include:
Potato (white)
Tomato
Tobacco
Peppers
Eggplant

Just my personal opinion ... others will surely feel different about these foods.

If in 50 years your prostate is able to thank you for anything, it wouldn't be the tomatoes I'd worry about.

Blueys love Tomatos - normal, cherry, roma etc... Cherries are fine too - as long as the pips are gone, Sweet potato is fine - i've used it many times - no probs, Pumpkin is great, Butternut pumpkin is great, food chart is a good GUIDE, but there are things on there that say rarely feed that i know are fine. As I said, It's a decent GUIDE.

LOL.

I was going to say the mattress mambo is the best way to keep the old prostate clear... :hehe:  There's been quite a few articles about it in all seriousness...
