Long time being gravid?

Postby Hockeyrulz48 » Fri Jun 06, 2008 7:22 am

I have a female blue tongue who you guys helped me breed. She breed ten times with the male on february 11. She is blowing up like a ballon and has gained around 120 grams. My question is now that is has almost been 4 month since breeding, is this normal? Is it being delayed for some reason?

yep should still be ok,though just because they mated, doesnt gaurantee bubs, but yours mated alot so id be confident, also note that the later matings could have been the successful ones, the waiting game sucks doesnt it,lol, but worth it when u see little ones appear, goodluck, and keep us posted, what species is it?

Alright thanks. I am pretty sure she is gravid becuase of the massive of chunks of weight she gains. In one day she gained 45 grams. The waiting game is not very fun, but worth it. I raised both of them from babies so I have been waiting awhile lol. The species are Northerns. Thanks for the help.

Sometimes it's impossible to tell! Pearl didn't get bigger but popped out FOURTEEN babies last summer. :bad: Peach on the other hand ballooned up twice her normal size and actually looked like she was struggling to breathe. It was such a difference. Moe also gets HUGE and breathes much harder. Pearl doesn't though....so you never know. :noknow:

when me female was about to give birth, she was very restless in a couble

off days, thought she would give birth the same day. That was in the

weekend, but she gave birth the following tuesday, when I was at work.

She was big,but not like a ballon.
