We all have an opinion,IT'S NOT ENVY,I DONT ENVY ANY HYBRIDS,I could go and buy a pair of "Glow light neon northerns" from mainland Europe and spend £4000, but I wont, mainly because the price is stupid, and I love my normal, natural, nothing different, nothing taken, nothing added,as nature intended 100% PURE BRED IJ. As for professional help,no need,"Trust me,I'm a Dr"
.

Ohh, you did it again, very nice. :clap2:

by the way, have you thought abouth, it has never been natures intendt,

that some off it to bee capturet and keept in captivity.

It has nothing to do with opinion, when you talk bad, abouth other people,

or there animals.

Mabye it`s not envy, i see the way you state your "opinion"

IT'S NOT ENVY,I DONT ENVY ANY HYBRIDS
.

Your a Dr. :hand: . that´s even more worrying :D .

We all like different kind off animal, so bee it. You take care off yours,

other off there´s.

Allways a good thing to, discuss things, but in a prober way.

I haven´t seen your bts, sure that i would love them to. Pure not

inbreeded skinks is very nice, congratulations with that.

Nomad is trying to further prove his science-:dork:-ness: it's ok Nomad, we already know! Grasshopper, you will learn with time that the confirmed science-:dork: keeps his powers undercover until the opportune moment, at which they are sprung on his unwitting opponent!

Beauty breeding creates unknown masses of unfit animals. Yes, there may be healthy litters. Which then could carry traits to make unhealthy ones. Most breeders DO NOT CARE about these animals or their plight.

I do. I don't condone an animal being born into potential genetic torture. Morphing and limited bloodlines do just this. We can prevent it by getting more bloodlines and NOT morphing.

I agree, Kyle .... actually, I haven't read the rest of this thread yet, it is fairly intense! But, thinking along these lines, I have a couple of low intelligence shinglebacks, not their fault, mostly the result of loving care and having a dish of food placed in front of their noses on a regular basis ... but definitely not such a wild trait .... they most certainly WOULD NOT survive in the wild because of their reduced capability to hunt for food. By breeding these captive bred skinks, I would almost certainly be dulling and suppressing any wild instinct left in their prehistoric, antidiluvian little minds ....

Whether for personality or pleasure, every time we pick and choose an animal, whether dog, cat, skink or snake, for breeding, we ARE interfering with the natural selection process, even if without intention. If we see two pretty animals and decide that they might have nice babies ... it is for our enjoyment, our personal satisfaction of seeing what we create ...

I am not sure if I really have a specific point to make, except just to be wary, that any successful captive breeding program is the result of people's choice, not the animals. I am not against captive breeding, but we have to make ourselves aware of the potential consequences of our actions.
