So I spend yesterday and today painting my bathroom, big pain in the butt, but it looks pretty. My mom came over tonight for dinner and to help me take down the stupid sliding glass door so I could put up my pretty shower curtin. I hate sliding glass doors because it's hard to shave (no good place to put your foot) and hard to bath little kids in it. They can also be a pain in the butt to keep clean. I did not realize that behind the frame is also a huge breeding ground for mold and gunk! It was so gross when I took them off. :hurl: Luckly I got it all scrubbed off but ill!!!! Definetly never having those again!

If it makes you feel any better, I'm trying to restore a stupid 1973 English "Spirit," camp trailer, and right now, it really doesn't look very pretty.

How gutted was I when I woke up Sunday?I went to feed the fish and saw one of my giant Plec's flippin out for no reason, about ten minutes later it pelted around the tank and went belly up and died  :cry2:, I'd had him over nine years from a little two inch nipper, he topped out at over 12" long

Jenn, all your hard work will pay off. Out of all the rooms in the house, I love the bathroom because it's the easiest room to redo cheaply! LOL

I redid our bathrooms. I swear my husband has a map fetish, (he can study them for hours) so I painted his bathroom to look like one. And added sea monsters to entertain my son. He and the kids might as well learn something since they spend so much time in there.

There is even a magical liopleurodon. Jacki will know what I'm talking about.

No No No No No! Shower curtains are evil!! Evil I tells ya!! They're born to attack.
You're all hot and steamy and soapy and fragrant and singing at the top of your voice .... and then all of a sudden this cold, clammy, clingy plastic grabs hold of your body (usually round your bum or shoulders) and next thing you know you're trapped in it's folds, the singing turns to screeching and the whole shower experience is ruined.

No M'am, give me the mouldy gunky shower screen any day! BTW, if you use bodywash rather than soap, you get less buildup because it's a liquid and not a solid.

I'm rather particular about my shower experience, among other things. Don't get me started on my clothes washing/wearing experience

Maybe you just have a naughty show curtin. Mine stays where it's suppose to and leaves my bum alone!!!!

I really love my bathroom! It's all pretty and girly and grown up. Since I like bright bold colors (my computer room is blazing autumn or as my brother calls it the pumpking room!), that's not normally what I end up with when I repaint so I tend to like my bathroom extra.

You know you are my kindred spirit. Pigeons and world maps...who'dve thunk?

I want one of those curved shower rods in the worst way! :grump:

I just can't justify spending the money. But then again, if I pull a Lisa and claim to be traumatized and claustrophobic...

Spent the morning digging a goat head out from under my barn. Now I need a shower!
