We were in Chicago last weekend and at the Shedd Aquarium they had a really awesome lizard exhibition and there was supposed to be a shingleback but she was in the back because of a little surgery or something she had just had. I was so disappointed. They wouldn't take me to the back to see her. The employee I managed to hunt down said that she was really sweet. Darn it.

Anyway, I didn't get to see a driveway turd close up. But they did have Northern blue tongue skinks that they had identified as Easterns. I have pics I will post but I'm at work now so it will have to wait til I get home. The komodo dragon was impressive.

He is very pretty, I'm wondering how tough are a shingle backs scales I heard that they are like armor plates but I don't know if thats just a rumor

Yes, we're back. The first picture is a sign outside of the Northern blue tongue cage. You'd think they could be a little more accurate. Even though the sign says Eastern, I'm pretty sure they were Northerns.



I could be wrong. They were hiding so I couldn't get a good pic.

Yeah, those are Northerns, and the sign is a Northern, the latin name is closer to Eastern than Northern, and scincoides aren't found in NG. For shame!
