thanks for all the comments! yes, its tank is all glass, i will cover the sides and I'm going to leave it alone for a while. i didn't realize how bad it's mite infestation was until i treated it. i'm going to have to do a complete house cleaning. could it have gotten the mites from it's bedding? i bought like 10 bags of aspen bedding at the show (it was like 5 dollars for 3), could the bedding be infected that i bought?

I hope you get your poor bluey all better and happy soon. Then you can get on with bonding with him. He can't be comfortable. If they get grumpy when shed, just imagine how he feels now...

I agree
He's pretty no matter what he is.
