I love my Uber pale skin, and I hate sunscreen because its chemicals that you shouldn't be dealing with and it tastes like s*%t if it gets on your lips!
I've never been one to just lie on the sun baking myself. I am perfectly happy to stay out of the sun, though I will "bask" with Chuffers if its nice enough.
I just have to make a correction, Nomad, its spelled "melanin, not melonin! :D
(sorry, I'm a science geek!)
Hooray for natural skin pigments!!

Mate, you should use Hawian Tropic, that stuff smell like Malibu(the drink) and dont taste that bad, but oooohh the smell

Bleh, I'm a science geek too. But you should see my high school English papers! My teacher (one of my favorites actually) would write SPELLING in big red letters across every one of my papers haha...

One of my quizzes was so bad she wrote "You suck." as my grade haha

As a blue-eyed blonde with fair skin I must say that I love sunscreen! There are way more scientific studies that say sunscreen prevents cancer than causes it. Until the American Cancer Society says otherwise, I will never do an outdoor activity in summer, without slathering myself in lotiony goo!

Sunscreens can be purchased with natural ingredients (words we can pronounce) to provide modest protection for people who wish to choose that option. As an person sporting ink I never go in the sun without some sunscreen. :teach: Getting the tattoo once is enough. Reinking because you are too lazy to use sunscreen is nuts!

Bleah, I'm just gonna go nocturnal, its more comfortable for me anyway! :D I love my Moon-tan!
I heard somewhere that watermelon has natural components in it that can protect you frm harmful doses of UVA UVB. I'm not sure how it works, but I assume that your body processes the vits and minerals in it and it eventually goes into your skin and protects it? I guess I should research that, huh?
(I'm all for watermelon anyway, Yum! But I wish it still had the big black seeds, I always found that stuff to be sweeter!)

I agree, the seedless watermelons just aren't as tasty. I guess because they are just watermelons picked younger before the seeds develop that they don't have as much flavour. Easier to cut up, but!

For those that think sunscreen will kill you, you should at least wear a hat and sunnies when outside. It's even compulsory in some schools here for the little kids on lunch break. We have one of, if not the highest, skin cancer rates in the world. It's not a nice way to go, speaking as one who has watched a loved one die that way.

Slip Slop Slap! Slip on the sunnies, slop on the lotion, and slap on a hat. Every aussie is taught that at a young age!
