Haha, oh well. For the most part, his books are great for beginning herpers.

He also recommends heat rocks for bearded dragons :lol:

Yeah but who is writing the good parts and who is writing the bad parts? He coauthors most of the books.

Don't get me wrong, I agree that the books are relatively sound advice and they have definitely helped advance the hobby.

Guess nothing can be perfect. But it just goes back to "whatever you hear" -- "or read" is what you suddendly defend as being right. We deal with it all the time when it comes to pet stores advice.

The only critters I've heard of being housed with Cresties are Millipedes, (in a naturalistic vivarium) because they live on the floor and eat the poop, and break it down for better soil for the living plants, creating a nice little ecosystem.
That said, I wouldn't house a Crestie (or any Rhac) with anything else, other than their own species, being very careful of the gender ratio. (Just my opinion!)

Good to know, maybe I'll do some big research on it later, but I don't have a huge knowledge about geckos, other than basic care and some attitude info. Thanks for the info guys.
