I just thought I'd tell ya guys that June is Adopt a Shelter Cat month, so tell everyone ya know to think about adopting one or two... or three from your local shelter, or consider donating to them. If you're in Michigan, be sure to come to the Royal Oak Animal Shelter (that's where i work), cause we got the best kitties around! Here's another one for DT. Lord knows I am not a spider person. This was my Mother's Day present from my daughter:

My daughter wanted to get me a pet for Mother's Day and my husband said no. So she rounded up (literally!) the first available thing she could catch.

I like spiders just fine - outdoors and 30 feet away. But this was kind of cute. It would run along the ball as you turned it. :lol:

I had her release it outside so he could go wish his own mother a happy mother's day. :wink:

Anyone here from a military family? My Fiancee wants to join the army and I have no experiance with the military and everything is happening so fast I'm getting kind of nervous.
I want to be supportive, but the plan he has set out on has us married within the next two weeks and him in Basic by the end of the month. The Idea of him joining has only come up in the last 3 days so him jumping on gung ho has me a bit freaked. :bad:

Its tough and requires alot of trust on both sides Leigh. He'll be gone for long periods of time where you can't communicate. But if its something that he feels strongly about, then I think you should suggest both of you going and talking to the recruiter. It'd be a great opportunity for both of you to get some questions answered and decide if that's the right life style for you both. Good luck!

Sorry, For some reason I thought Leigh posted that. Wow. Its been a long day. Good luck with the military business. My ex-fiance was in the army and it was tough. For the right person it would have been do-able though.
