I love how the media has to hammer everything into us. They're doing 2 hour specials on bridge construction and how many other bridges in the U.S could possibly fail at any moment dragging more hapless victims to a horrible death. Fear mongers. :roll:

and don't even get me started on Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan.

we're still waiting to find out if a couple people we know might have been on that bridge.

My friends sister hasn't been heard from since that day and she lived in the area.

I don't think anyone's used the chat in months.....Which is why I am going to sit in there...to make sure it doesn't get rusty.

I think college gets most people ahead in life, I don't think it's 100% necessary for 100% of people. I know quite a few people who do quite well and never set foot in a college.

All college really does is prove you have the mental stamina and know how to learn. People can learn plenty outside of college and get pretty much any job they choose.

I'd use myself as an example of intellect outside of school, however, my success has yet to be seen because I have no idea what I want. :hehe:

Does anyone know anything about raising orphaned kittens? I had one dumped off on me and I want to be sure that I do everything right....Any advice is appreciated.

i know how to look after baby kittens, after they have been born from mummy and mummy goes nuts and starts clawing at your feet everytime to try to walk at all haha...we sold to this guy down the road...no idea what she is now :shock:

He's one week old, I think. He just started opening his eyes this morning. Very cute little bugger. We made it through night #1. I got up to feed him every 2 hours, and he seems to be doing ok. Quite healthy except for a messed up right front leg. It seems like he has some sort of birth defect. He uses it to crawl forward, but can't push off of it at all. Doesn't appear broken though. I'll post some pictures as soon as my camera charges

I would definetly contact a vet and get him check out. They would be able to help you know exactly what you should be bottle feeding him and maybe give some insight on his leg. I foster kittens but have never had one that has to be bottle fed. I do know they need that constant feeding all the time. What happend to him mom?

He is going to see the vet on Tuesday. Unfortunately I don't know what happened to his mom. I work at Petco and he was there and not being taken care of by a particular "rescue." So I took him home. I'm feeding him KMR milk replacer on an every 2 hour interval. Although I'm letting him eat a little more during the day time so that hopefully I'll get to sleep a little longer tonight. We'll see how that works out. Its a lot of work, but hopefully he'll make it. I never knew kittens pooped so darned much!!

www.fishgeeks.com has a wonderful fishkeeping forum including info on bichirs.

Do you have one? What kind? I love bichirs and ropefish.

I have an ornate who's 4 years old I used to have an armoured and a marbled but had to get rid of them when I had my kids. I want to get more again someday though.
