Meal plan for baby skink

Postby LittleMutz » Tue Jul 26, 2022 1:56 pm

I am a brand new (about to be) owner of a Blue Tongue Skink (Northern). I have ordered all supplies today and am picking up my skink next week! I’m wondering exactly what to feed it. I read online that babies eat 2-3 times daily. What is a good meal plan for it? Aside from cat/dog food.

Thank you!

I feed all of my babies canned dog food with the veggies already blended into the ingredients. If I can't feed them every day, I do at least every other day at a minimum. Once daily as much as the little guy will eat. You can also substitute eggs, either scrambled or raw on occasion. For especially picky skinks, I like to feed a pureed vegetable based baby food by spoon as pictured just to get some food in their bellies. Usually sweet potato.
